Have you injured a tooth or are you concerned that you might have a cavity? Log Home Dental offers a full range of treatments to repair and restore your teeth to their original strength and appearance.
When you come in to see us about a restoration, we'll discuss all your options with you, including costs, how the restoration will look, and how long it can be expected to last. We're committed to ensuring that whatever options you choose, you'll be happy with the results.
If decay is left unchecked, it will eventually create a cavity in the enamel of your tooth. A Cavity needs to be repaired with a filling. We offer composite fillings that are very strong and can be colour-matched to your teeth.
Crowns are synthetic teeth that are designed to look exactly like real teeth. We use them to replace lost or broken-off teeth or to repair severely damaged or broken teeth. When you are fitted for a crown we will prepare the tooth to be restored and take an impression of your existing teeth to ensure the crown will fit properly. Your crown will be prepared by a dental lab, and then we will place it, test the fit and colour, and then permanently cement the crown in place.
Inlays are a type of restoration used to repair cavities or serious damage to the non-biting surface of a tooth. Like crowns, inlays are produced in a lab and made to fit exactly into the tooth being restored. Once placed, inlays are cemented into place.
Onlays are similar to inlays, except they are used to restore the biting surfaces of the teeth (the cusps). They are extremely strong to restore the biting power of the tooth.
In cases where there is a gap left by one or more missing teeth, a restoration called a bridge is used to fill the gap with a synthetic tooth or teeth. The process of creating the teeth is similar to the construction of a crown; impressions are taken and the teeth are made to fit and match your existing teeth. The artificial teeth are attached or bonded to the existing natural teeth on either side of the gap.
